The Professors
2007 MLJJ Performance Schedule
Year
2004 marks the ninth year The Professors will appear at Mammoth Lakes,
And they are the professors; the professors of the Mammoth Lakes Jazz
Jubilee Camp. Before this group was created, the teachers at the Jazz
Camp played in different bands. It became a scheduling nightmare.
So a band of their own was formed. Mammoth is one of the few places
where you can see this group together.
Leader (and Jazz Camp director) is Bill Dendle on trombone; Rusty
Stiers play trumpet; Lee Westenhofer, bass and tuba; Otis Mourning
clarinet and saxes; Anita Thomas, clarinet and reeds; Jason Wanner, piano; Tad Waddel, drums; Eddie Erickson
banjo and guitar and Shelly Burns, vocals. (personnel in this band
is subject to change, according to who is available for faculty during
camp time.) |
